★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disgusting service. We booked a taxi for 9 people 24 hour in advance. Rang to confirm 2 hours before. despite 2 calls they still left us on the side of the road for 55 minutes and then finally sent a 7 seater van to collect the 2 people who had not given up and called an uber. No a offer of compensation. I would never use them again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter booked a Taxi from this company a good 4 days before the event .No Taxi arrived on the pre determined time of 1130 pm .She phoned two more times ,the second time she was told a car hadnt even been sent .
They then tried to call her at 215 am ,by this time she had already got another ride home. So many reasons to never use this company .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will never use North Shore Taxis again - their service is appalling. We had a wedding on Friday 24/03/17 at Northridge Country Lodge in Wainui Rd, Silverdale. It is in the country and because of this I organised myself to book a 9 seater van for pick up at 11pm. Got the confirmation and reference number. So when the van had not turned up at 11.10pm I rang to be told there were no 9 seater vans available: Hello, I had booked the Monday prior!! So then as there were only 4 of us by this stage I asked for a car - yes I was told - ring back if nothing has turned up in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later phoned through - lady at dispatch knew me by now and was most unhelpful - apparently because I had changed my order from a 9 seater van to a car my Reference had been cancelled - so we had to make another order!!! 11.40 a car turned up - felt sorry for the poor driver who coped our displeasure - it was not his fault. This was not the worst as other guests at the wedding from overseas had the same problem - although they had used the van to get out to the event, it did not turn up for return journey. North Shore Taxis if you cannot supply your vans PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE ORDER. Was not impressed waiting for 40 minutes late at night. I am of the older generation and I will quickly get my adult children to sign me up for UBER

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called for a Taxi to take relatives back to their hotel near the airport. I was expecting a long wait but the friendly girl on the phone told me 10 minutes. The taxi was here in 8 minutes. The taxi was clean inside and out. The driver was friendly. Fantastic service. Well done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 0 stars and still post a review I would. To call this a taxi 'service' is an absolute joke!! I had made a booking for a taxi to pick up my 92 year old dad from his rest home and drive him to the restaurant where the extended family were meeting up for Fathers Day dinner. Unfortunately he cant get into my car, as it's too low. He waited 45 minutes at the entrance but no taxi came, so he ended up having Fathers Day dinner on his own at the rest home. I may never get another chance to have Fathers Day dinner with my dad again. You people are despicable. You just dont care!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drivers driving skills are very poor tailgating motorists in the pooring wet weather today on Aucklands motorways in the middle of a downpour. Observing less than a cars following distance while the risk of Aqua planning was high. Rego KSE13*

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The whole process for any Taxi company, compared to Uber or Ola is just complex and more hassle. They do have a pretty smart voice recognition system to give your address and it handled a complex address pickup.
If didn't tell any estimate of when someone could come, as it was I had called 2 other taxi companies mid week and they had no taxis available.
The auto system said a taxi would be there "soon" it didn't arrive by 15 mins so called. The company called in another taxi company to fill the job, and that was another 10 mins away. For contrast, Uber had 7 cars in distance, visible in the app, within 4 mins away.
Price for taxi was about the same as Uber/Ola.
Good service, clean car. The driver was smart, cleanly dressed and great company for the drive. Modern car
They do have eftpos which was why I needed them as my Credit card was being reissued.
Overall, if they got an app, and if any taxi company serviced Birkenhead to the same level, then they could be as good and as convenient as Uber.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dad (85) left his wallet in a cab - rang them straight away, they refused to contact the driver and put him through to a voicemail. He rang 3 times and I rang twice. No one bothered to call back. The last time I asked for a manager, spoke to the shift supervisor and he checked with the driver, no wallet found. A couple of days later the wallet appeared in Dad's letterbox. He didn't have his address in it, it can only have been left by the cab company but no phone call or apology. It's no way to treat the elderly!
