Our third visit, we try and come each time the menu changes and are never disappointed! Not only is the food some of the best I have tasted, but the service is impeccable. Over our visits we've had melt-in-the-mouth crayfish ravioli w orange beurre blanc, perfectly cooked venison leg, scallops w bloomed raisins & cauliflower puree (I think my favourite meal EVER!), beetroot carpaccio - so many perfectly matched flavours and nothing too much trouble for the attentive and friendly, knowledgeable staff. See you next month for the Winter menu!

What a dinner experience, flawless to put it in one word. The salmon entree with caviar was excellent but was equally matched by the pork belly with scallops, followed by either the lamb rack or fish of the day main was hard to choose. Being asked about personal food allergies at the start was just the cream on a fantastic dinner with great staff. Definitely recommended, definitely worth the time to enjoy and definitely be back again.

What a superb meal! SO tastefully presented; excellent service; friendly staff, lovely venue, very clean and simple, elegant decor. Will definitely be back. Venison meal was de- licious, with drunken prunes ?. Cheesecake dessert, tasty too.

This is the third time in 4 months that myself and my partner have been back to the Oak & Vine Restaurant. This time we brought my partners parents. There's a reason we keep coming back and we'll keep going back. The food has always been amazing, the cocktails, beer and wine selection is extensive and any cocktails we've ordered have been very tasty and beautifully presented. Danish and the team provide the best service we've had in the several dozens of restaurants we've been to in Wellington. They look after you and even provide you with complimentary drinks and food to show their appreciation for your service. It's right bang in the middle of Courtenay Place next to the St James Theatre so perfect if you wanted to enjoy and movie or a drink nearby. If you live in Wellington and haven't been here you're missing out!

Coming out of the elevator to a large lobby area and kitchen with dining beyond drew attention and couldn't wait to check in and experience this stunning restaurant. Black tiles, white and grey decor, and the lights of Courtenay Place through the windows. Popular with locals and guests to Wellington. We'll spaced tables, attentive staff and a menu that got our mouths watering. Once the food arrived the delight moved even higher as the food looked and tasted better than the menu description.

Ok so went there a couple of weeks ago and been thinking about what to say about Oak and Vine. Definitely would not rate it as a 5 star restaurant as it is on tripadvisor. Some constructive criticism. Before we even went there I had some doubts. It was our anniversary and I asked for a nice table because of it. We were put in a center table which is fine just guess for me a nice table would have been by a window so at least we had the view of the city. They weren't busy so really no excuse. Food wise. We had the compressed pork belly and scallops. Guess chef has been watching too many masterchef shows as they did the whole paint splatter thing which is in my opinion is unappealing. Scallops though cooked well lacked the caramalization. Pork belly was nothing special. My partner ordered the scotch fillef from the grill. To be honest nothing special enough to justify the price. I ordered the lamb rack with sweetbreads. Sweetbreads were great. I was told lamb rack would be cooked medium rare which is what I love. On cutting in to it cooked perfectly on the outside, cut further in and it was almost blue. Especially near the bone. I think the only thing that was the highlight for me was the Brussel sprouts. Cooked perfectly. Goats cheese went very well with it. The reviews on tripadvisor were right with the filling of water. Staff should pay more attention to diners than chat. So in conclusion would not call it fine dining. Just normal hotel restaurant food.
