★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was not happy with the service received. Advised that they accept Laybuy & Humm. But when we went in store, was advised that Laybuy is only accepted via online. Was it the difference with ordering online and purchasing instore. In addition, the staff was not pleasant and wasn't keen to assist. Will not recommend the store to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a drive out to the Otahuhu branch today, which was a 160km roundtrip for us. When we arrived there, I asked to see the Road Chief camper trailer. The lady behind the counter didn’t even know what I was talking about. She then asked her coleague (a very rude indian man), who knows absolutely nothing about customer service. He said they are at the back of the store, all locked up apprently, so we can’t view it. I have researched the trailer online, just wanted to see it in the flesh. He said sorry he can’t help me, I then said you’re about to loose a $16000 sale and he said, oh well!! I was furious after we had driven all the way for nothing and also after I had called to ask if they have stock. We will definately not be pursuing this purchase any longer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found a trailer on the website ordered it and called to arrange pick up, that was great. When we came to pick up and my partner walked through the door and was greeted by a very rude indian man saying "WHAT DO YOU WANT". The rest of the team were good, happy and polite. Also the price on the trailer was awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a fridge from Savebarn and unfortunately it is faulty. The fridge compartment is icing over reducing its capacity. I have contacted them to try and arrange a return and refund and am finding it very difficult. Don't purchase anything from this retailer, their customer service and blatant disregard for consumer guarantees is atrocious.
Edit: 2 weeks later and no repair, exchange or refund despite being told someone would be coming to look at the fridge....
Edit: Well over a month now and still no resolution, no reply to emails, no follow-up.
Edit: Finally got a return and refund after 2 months-seemed to need to talk to the right person? I would err on the side of caution for these guys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just bought a dog kennel cover from Savebarn ($45) what turned out to be a cover from Kmart ($25). Kmart labeled and everything . Lesson learned..It tells you a lot about the business ethics there, no respect for the customer. Bye-bye Savebarn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been waiting for a reply and call back regarding the rest of the replacement of the faulty product I purchased. It has been a month. This wouldn't happen if they did not sell/send a faulty product in the first place. It's almost a week since the last reply I got and they have not responded to the follow ups.

Don’t WASTE YOUR MONEY at Save Barn. I bought a tent online, only to realize this was a Kmart brand and was also $40 dearer than what Kmart charged. So, I asked for a refund. Was told they don’t do refunds, and they also didn’t know Kmart sells that brand. So, I was left with nearly $100 credit to use on other items - used some of that for a water carrier, saw the exact water container at Mitre10, once again with a cheaper price tag.
Not buying from this place again.
