★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little way out of town, but worth the short ride. Plenty of space, comfortable and warm. Coffee, juice, toast, cereal and fruit. Ready for the Rail trail.

Lovely outdoor area to eat dinner and the kitchen had all equipment required for us to cook ourselves dinner (but not much variety of food available at the closest store so you'd need to plan to get food from further afield).
We had access to a courtesy car from Omakau so it's actually very easy to get to if you're biking the rail trail.
Beds were very comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely retreat if you want peace and quiet away from the crowds. Sweeping views across the plains. The hosts are very generous with food which is so appreciated when you've just been cycling. The house has been modernised and has a great media room upstairs. Note: Lots of electric fences, so young kids will need supervision outside.
