Tongariro National Trout Centre
Situated beside the famous Tongariro river, you can see and feed wild Trout in their natural environment. Our Visitor Centre is the home of our extensive collection of Taupo and freshwater fishing memorabilia. The highlight of your visit will be viewing many of New Zealand's native fresh water fish in our Genesis Energy Fresh Water Aquarium. Take a walk through our park, see trout in the underwater viewing chamber and picnic beside the world famous Tongariro River.

 Very comfortable accommodation~~~ The kitchen utensils are complete and there are two toilets~ the collection and decoration are beautiful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The property is very spacious, with a very large living room/kitchen area perfect for staying with friends, cooking at home, etc. Very handy terrace and view on the river and the beautifully kept garden. Washing machine is also handy for washing up the hiking gear. The location is great, just litterally on the river and 10 min walk from the shops (including a big supermarket that was open during bank holidays)
The host, Julie, was lovely and very helpful. We forgot a hiking top in the property and she posted it very quickly to our next destination. Would certainly go back.
