β β β β β Bought the $29 plan at Christchurch Airport and was told I could top up as required. I did top up twice using my credit card for $20.00 each time, using Sparks online option. At no time were instructions given to re-register my plan so my $40.00 data expenditure was swallowed up in casual data usage. There seems to be a step missing here, Spark were happy to take my credit card online but no instructions given to re-register.
Spark - shame on you, just another Telco ripping off poor unsuspecting customers.

β β β β β I do not recommend using a Spark Roaming Pack for international roaming in the United States. In addition to errors with the US mobile phone service overhaul from 3G to 5G, the roaming services are frequently spotty in service with roaming data and voice calling. Their regular service in NZ is alright.
