★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming here for 20 years the food used to be amazing I'm not sure what happened but it's like their love for making the food has gone, maybe cutting corners to save money but after a pie with no meat and a donut that tasted like butter I will not be coming back here again. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is very low cost, so I guess it is value for money. However, the food is very sub-par, I am not sure that I would ever buy anything from here ever again and certainly not to give to anyone else that I like. If you like quality food, don't waste your time here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Foul. Everything is made from the cheapest rubbish ingredients. Bacon & egg pie was full of frozen veges. It was a carrot & pea pie. Egg sandwiches tasted like raw flour. Just awful. Bought food for a bunch of people & its like i just punished them.
Embarrassing & awful. Feeling ripped off

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some people say that this place is cheap in price and also in quality, prices are certainly cheap but the quality is good. Best cream donuts ever and the everyday rolls are so good, definitely not dry unlike some I have had. High prices do not necessarily equate to good bread, my experience of Wild Wheat for example is that it's extremely expensive and the bread is dry and will last a day if you're lucky before turning to leather.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little spot next to cheese on toast, this family owned classic New Zealand bakery is a nice time capsule of what once was. An extra star purely for the fact that I can still get a $2 sausage roll here when a Bunnings snag costs around $2.5-$3 is a godsend, how they manage to avoid inflation i do not know. Friendly owners and decent quality. Great for a hangover - oh and their butter chicken pies are good too.
