★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pay no attention to the anti vaxxers giving this wonderful place bad reviews they made their bed by only thinking of themselves and deserve to be turned around at the gate. This camping ground is the best I've stayed at during my tour of the north island, the sea is more like a big lake safe to swim in and great for fishing. Friendly staff and excellent facilitites

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a log cabin for two nights, was extremely impressed with how clean it was and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and helpful, park was tidy with no late night noise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This camp has been one of our favourites. The outlook, beach, clean clear, warm water. Old style camping ground but very clean & great facilities. Friendly & quiet. Cabins look excellent. Plenty of sites for vans & tents. You would be best to book at busy holiday times as it is very popular! Highly recommend this lovely camp.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been coming to TBHP for some years. Firstly in our camper van then into cabins and our latest stay in the white house. Love, love our stays always. Hosts always friendly and there to help if needed. Beautiful beach, sound of the surf lulls you to sleep at night. Best hols ever

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just visited the beach, not the holiday park but it's a great spot to relax. Hardly anyone there. Plenty of opportunity to get be away from the crowd. We peaked over the fence to have a look at the campers. Big trailer with all the bells and whistles of grand camping blocked most of the view but what we saw was impressive. People sitting behind their RVs enjoying the sun, the whistling of the surf and sun peaking through the clouds. Magic. I want to sell up and tour the country....write a book and live wild. BANG...back to reality. I would be bored to death within 4 weeks but hey, dreaming is nice. As with the empty beach and shimmering water, it changes your perspective ?? ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely location! We stayed in one of there log cabins. Fully self contained and furnished including everything for cooking and eating. I think some are not fully self contained so ask while making a booking. If camping during summer months take your own fan as there is no aircon. A great place for families and time away from the normal working life. Highly recommended ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have stayed here on and off for forty years and recently every year for the last seven. The management is superb as is the beach and the scenery. What has been noticed is the fishing is getting over taken by drones operating from dawn to dusk everyday. How many fish does a person need it’s becoming like a factory fish majority snapper pan size are caught cleaned vacuum packed then frozen some people are doing this day after day. We all like to have a feed of fresh fish but to stock up your freezers for home is just not good.
