About The Legendary Black Water Rafting Co, Waitomo
The Waitomo Homestead Cabins are the perfect place to stay in Waitomo. Located just 10 minutes from the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves, with comfortable beds, modern facilities and a beautiful villa and gardens, to relax, enjoy nature and get a good night’s sleep.
Our two-bed and four-bed Cabins are suitable for couples, families and friends looking to immerse themselves in the local charm of the Waitomo region. Set amongst the rural rolling hills of the Waikato, a stay at the Waitomo Homestead Cabins is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
When you’re not exploring the cave networks of Waitomo, spend time playing board games on the villa’s sunny deck, enjoying the onsite Homestead Restaurant and gardens or reading a book on your cabin porch.

A comfortable, private bed
Spacious king single beds with double duvets can be found in all rooms, with the four-bed bunk rooms also having privacy screens. USB and power points can be found by all beds.
Shared bathroom facilities
Bathrooms are large, private and equipped with hot and powerful showers, toilets, sinks and large mirrors. You’ll also find an accessible toilet/shower and coin-operated laundry facilities.
Central, communal kitchen and living area
The villa is home to a fully functioning kitchen (including all utensils!), communal relaxing areas, a selection of board games for you to enjoy and a large sunny deck.
Homestead Restaurant and gardens
The Homestead Restaurant and gardens are a stone’s throw from the cabins. Don’t miss out on the $3 pies!
Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi can be found throughout the Homestead Cabins and Resturant, however, we encourage guests to put down devices and embrace the tranquillity of nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great trip on the Abyss tour today. Highly recommend doing this tour, great mix of adrenaline and caving and floating. Lots of funny photos taken and all emailed to us as part of the ticket price. Guides were a great mix of professionalism and fun!

We did the black labyrinth tour today and I cannot recommend it enough, we were a little anxious about the whole thing (mostly me) but Max & Kit put our minds at ease and were super supportive & encouraging. They definitely made the experience and were a chilled, knowledgeable, and down to earth pair! Loads of laughs & banter. The cave & glowworms were well worth it. would highly recommend this experience to anyone

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went last night with Brenton and Olly as our guides. Was incredible! So exciting but options to keep everyone feeling safe. Wetsuits nice and thick to stay warm, helmets and boots comfy too. Great upbeat vibe with lots of jokes and laughter and unreal floating through darkness with layers of glowing dots all above you. Thanks guys so much! Memories for a lifetime, though ill definitely want to come again!
Also, really appreciated that the photos were included in the cost and the hot shower at the end to warm up (in very nice clean facility, even though we were the last group of the day, well done!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience!! The crew are professional, super friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make sure we had a good time. Our Guides Cory and Ollie were brilliant. We've done the Waitomo Trilogy tours a couple of times over the years which are also great but to go 70m below ground level and tube in the water was another level of fun. Try it... you won't be disappointed and they give you loads of free photos of you throughout the trip which is very unusual from a tour operator!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been traveling for several months globally and the 5 hour Abyss adventure may have been the single coolest experience I’ve had. My guides, Matt and Ollie, were extremely fun and professional, and kept us entertained / safe throughout. We started with abseiling, then ziplining, then tubing (where we had a wonderful view of glowworms), and a short climb up a waterfall. I was lucky to have a great group, who hung out afterwards as they provided us snacks. Amazing pictures as well!
I’ve heard Tom Cruise has done this experience multiple times, if that’s any indication of how great this is!
