Got my beautiful dog out of surgery and the staff is super friendly and the vet was very good at explaining what we need to do, to keep her healthy and clean. Good friendly vets and the staff.

J have been going to this practise for 20 years regularly with my dogs and litters to be checked and Vaccinated etc. When I have rung for appointments at the end of 2021 and now this year I cannot get an appointment......will have to find another prctice. so very disappointed.

We have been bringing our dog here for many years - up til the change in ownership/management we were happy with the service. When the new owners took over a year or two ago it all went downhill. Seems the focus shifted from the animals to profits. Prices went up and service declined. The shambolic service made us feel that nobody was really managing the place with limited oversight of customer service and care. We often got inconsistent service between different vets and work was not completed properly, e.g. not entering medication into the system so follow ups were unnecessarily difficult. We would often turn up to pick up pre-arranged medication and the staff at the front desk had no idea about it - the last time we literally had to wait 30 mins while they mucked around trying to work out what was going on, symptomatic of nobody overseeing the work. Medication was often in the wrong quantities or the completely wrong medication. We have been frequently overcharged and charged for the most trivial things, e.g $15 to ring up and clarify something that took about a minute. We were appalled at the attitude of one of the newest vets, no compassion whatsoever, talked about our dog like she was a worn out piece of property and wasn’t really interested in assisting with the issue. Don’t get me wrong, there are some amazing staff here, the main issue we have is with management and the way the place is run. Our dog recently passed and we wrote a nice email thanking everyone for their help. Immediately after we received a generic email with the invoice (the very next day, before we had even received her ashes), with no acknowledgment of our email. It’s this sort of tone deaf response we have come to expect from management. With our next pet we will definitely be going elsewhere.

Our one year old Border Collie dog β€œMia” has passed away 3 hours later after constipation procedure at β€œ The Vet Centre ” in Pukekohe dated 26 March 2021. It cost us thousands to purchase & rearing her since 8 weeks old puppy plus $1651.48 invoice from β€œ The Vet Centre " and $906 invoice from afterhours clinic ( for 3 hours ). The whole thing has caught us off guard and we feel that how the procedure was handled by β€œ the Vet Centre ” was unacceptable. Our question is that β€œ the Vet Centre” clinic let Mia discharge when she was still fully unconscious from her constipation procedure is professional? We consider it’s very inhumane to discharge a dog who died after surgery. We think β€œ the Vet Centre ” in Pukekohe has an inescapable responsibility for Mia's death. She was a very healthy and active young dog, a routine constipation procedure has caused her death is unacceptable. We have reviewed the photos we took for Mia at different stages during the event, and we just realize actually Mia was pretty much flat when we were called to pickup her after her constipation procedure. We have written few times to "the Vet Centre" regarding compensation but never heard back from them. We are wondering where is the Justice.

Sadly went here yesterday to put my beautiful boy to sleep. The staff here were sympathetic and despite red light restrictions, made our situation as comfortable as possible. They were delicate and caring and I'm so grateful for that.
