★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My towbar has been a saga. Towbar express fitted the incorrect towbar to my truck meaning it couldn't get a COF. To their credit they did fit the correct and more expensive one at their expense. They couldn't certify it themselves so I had to pay an engineer to do it. Lastly I found out that the trailer socket had been wired incorrectly, so had to return a fourth time to have this sorted. I would have thought they would tested it before giving the truck back. I'm sure Towbar Express can do better than this but my experience with them means I probably won't return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got my tow bar fitted a while back and excellent service and competitive price. Recently has a locking bolt snap off on the tow bar and took it back to Towbar Express and they fixed it in 5 minutes for free - you can't get better service than that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service and very responsive. I received a fast quote. When I called I was able to make an appointment for a few days later. I had towbar installed one afternoon, and was given an extra little cover for the ball for free. It turned out that the standard NZ tow ball for towing trailers and caravans (1 7/8 inch = 47.625 mm) was too small for my Thule bike rack, but they replaced it with a 50mm ball (the European standard) the next day, in just ten minutes! Amazing! They didn't charge me for the new ball and I got to keep the other one in case I ever want to tow a caravan or trailer with the smaller coupling. I found that was a pretty good service!
I recommend you do your research beforehand and specify the tow ball size you need when you ask for your quote.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wee problem with the electrics on my tow bar. Kerry was able to fix in 5 minutes and showed me where the problem lay for future reference. Need to get a new tow ball for my bike rack so will definitely be going back to see these guys to get that sorted. Great service
