Nice folks here, considering this was the tail of New Years they seemed chipper and ready to go. Food was low tech lunch style. Muffins, toasted sandwich etc, nothing flashy or complex. A classic must visit high country hotel within a historic setting and township

Giving 2 stars based on the friendliness of the lady (owner?) and the good quality of the coffee I got. The other 3 stars were lost by a shorter spikey-haired woman who delivered some of the rudest and most abrupt service I've received at any place of retail. I don't know if she was just having a terrible day or if she simply didn't like the look of me and my father, but she was rude (especially about vax passes, which we both provided) to the point of being hostile. That combined with our small order took around 20 minutes to complete. Lucky for the woman in question that the other lady was very polite and gracious, and knew how to treat polite and paying customers. And credit where it is due; the coffee was good and well made. Pity about the service though. Maybe just stick to making coffee if you can't treat people well.
