★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap and cheerful!!! Friendly locals, charming staff, home cooked meals, cold beers, accommodation wing attached with comfortable room/beds and shared bathroom and kitchenette facilities down the hallway. It isn't fancy but it is clean, affordable and welcoming. Exactly what we were looking for after a long, hot day on the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Long weekend no motels or hotels were vacant never sought to look taverns this one takes the cake they want me and my friend and her daughter in at 9:30 at night very friendly very accommodating highly recommend anyone that can't find her motel or hotel go to a Tavern

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called in after an unveiling of a loved Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin, Brother and friend with the rest of our whanau. Not a lot of people but great service, warm place, friendly locals and great food. Really nice little Tavern ? ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was so glad to see this place after a long cycle and even happier once we ordered. Loads of parking, clean toilets, cold beer and best of all the food was delicious. Home cooked and by far the best kumara fries I've had in NZ. This is an amazing little tavern with friendly locals and staff, pool tables and just an overall good vibe.

Staffs are very very friendly and welcoming.
Quality price also. You actually get more than what you paid for in here. Definitely check out their food. It was cheap but super tasty I still couldn’t believe it how they do it!
One thing I should mention is that this place is not new, however it’s well maintained and is clean. Definitely recommend!
