★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great well thought out plan. Wonderful place to visit it's something you will never see anywhere else. It's a long walk around but well worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Make sure that you use the toilets before starting the track and bring a hat and sunscreen as all is walking. Rough paths will be on the way so its at your own discretion how far you want to go. Smelly places will be encountered so if you are sensitive to sulfur or this kind of smells, careful as once you are walking through the champagne lake, is quite some time until the smell is gone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful thermal park in Rotorua. Loved the colors of lakes and scenery. Alltogether, its a 3km walk through the forrest to complete trip of this park so wear shoes, bring water and hats, sunscream. Only toilets are at the entrance so empty bladder before you go out. No mud or Sulphur public pools here. All in all..great new experiance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is written at Covid level 2. As a local I found it a bit pricey for what you get. I get the wonderful staff need to be paid (really, such nice staff!), but honestly wouldn't be surprised if our taxes paid for the places upkeep so where that money goes I have no idea. Maybe its because its seasonal, or maybe its because people only come at certain times of day, idk. Just not sure why we're paying $35pp. The luge, with maintenance and much larger staff is $50, right? So why is it so expensive here to just look at something that's already naturally occurring? This place is beautiful, don't get me wrong. You could feel how special it was. But is it really okay to be taking such a large koha? I think we have become greedy with the ease of the weak dollar and overseas money and tourism. If you want more people to visit, drop it to maximum $20pp and then see the locals line up. Attraction 4/5, price 2/5. Might seem a bit harsh, I don't feel ripped off or anything, I just feel its a bit of a money grab.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it! Amazing experience. The walk was much longer than I expected it to be which is a good thing. We visited the centre on our last day staying at Rotorua to get that final whiff before the long drive back to Auckland. The smell is Rotorua at its finest. A must visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience at this geothermal wonder! The hike was well marked and the overlook locations provided for fabulous photos!! So glad we opted for this tour from cruise ship. The trail is unpaved and has lots of steps so wear good shoes for walking/hiking!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best geothermal park we’ve been.. We came a week before level 3 and we had such a great time and the weather was amazing. The walk around the park will take about 90mins, beautiful scenery, unique natural landscapes and peaceful.. We missed the Lady Knox Geyser as its been inactive for awhile but the reception says we can come back anytime..
Superbly educational and highly recommended for family..
