★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service by a rude old lady. Rude manager tried to kick us out for trying to make a bank account or told us to wait 2 hours. Ended up going inside in 5 minutes when we waited. Wish the people in here are kind to all customers and aren't rude.

Guiding me patiently at the desktop ? computer with the process of setting up a new account and explaining the different passwords for different functions. She is certainly Branch Manager material to lead and uplift the image and ratings of the Albany branch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They only get 3 stars because of the amazing customer service of a young lady named Chelsea Casson, otherwise it would have been 0.
My partner and I were trying to open a joint account (we've both been customers of ASB for over 10 years) and ran into some issues with proving our address, which is a story in itself that will be sent through a formal complaints process to ASB. We took time off of work and came with a letter from IRD and a letter from our solicitor, but of course, the manager had left early and was the only one who could approve this form of proof of address.
Chelsea was determined to make sure we didn't leave without achieving what we came in to do and in the end she managed to help us find a form of proof that would be accepted and she set the account up. She was kind, bubbly and professional - she listened, she took the time to fix our issues and she even ended up staying past closing. We are very grateful to have come across her rather than anyone else there (we had previously spoken to far less helpful people at the branch). Thanks Chelsea!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been trying to open a bank account for my 17 year old for approximately 2 months. We were told that we would need an appointment to do this, so have been trying to get hold of ASB Albany. I have phoned multiple times to book an appointment, but nobody ever picks up the phone. I contacted ASB via Facebook, received a call from the New Lynn branch, and explained that we are trying to get an appointment with the Albany branch. The lady at New Lynn was very helpful and said she was emailing Albany immediately, and I should expect to receive a phone call from the Albany branch within 30 minutes. A week and a half later, I have still not been contacted by the Albany branch. I'm unsure as to how I'm supposed to book an appointment if nobody answers the phone and nobody responds to emails.
I will stay with ASB as I've held accounts there for over 10 years and don't have the energy to go to the efforts of researching banks and changing everything over, but I won't be going to ASB Albany and am thinking of setting my son up with a different bank for his bank accounts due to the absolute absence of any customer service from ASB Albany.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited the Albany branch of ASB early this morning, to sort out our accounts as we have recently been the victims of scamming. We are senior citizens, and do our best with technology etc, but needed to get our details sorted, and up and running again. We want to thank the lovely young lady teller, who did not rush us, and sorted things out for us. We left the bank feeling so confident again. We want to thank her for her understanding, time and patience. A good job well done! Thank you!
