Good walk, long, but an easy gradient.

Quite an impressive trail. We left at 6:30AM in the pitch black from Raspberry Flat Carpark and it was quite spooky hearing the river so loud next to us. It was difficult to navigate in the dark with torches but watching the sun rise over the snow mountains when we had almost reached Aspiring Hut was just incredible. Took a short break at the hut and upon returning along the route for 2.5 hrs, we saw everything we didn't see in the dark and it was just as beautiful. Seeing the icy, deep blue river for the first time was stunning and worth the hike. It got quite steep at some parts, you need to be moderately fit to reach the hut within 2-2.5 hours - and be properly equipped with waterproof hiking boots to cross the fords, and windproof clothing to stay warm. Minutes after the sun came up, mountains begun to melt and caused huge winds to swing through the valley. This was an incredible experience in nature, and I'd love to go further than aspiring hut one day.

Very nice trail. Rob roy track is closed due to erosion and we were recommended Aspiring hut track instead and we were not disappointed. See two glaciers along the way
