★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A most unusual geological feature to visit. Good flat path takes you along beside the stream that was once the bottom of a large cave. I disliked the swing bridge but found by stopping in the middle (and hanging on to both sides!) I gave the bridge time to stop swinging before I carried on. Needless to say there was only me on the bridge at the time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Approx 30 min drive from Waitomo glow worm caves, roads are twist and turns, but worth driving there. Nice little riverside boardwalk leading to some stairs. Overhead limestone 'bridge'. Well worth checking out.

Definitely follow the arrow on the sign board and go left. The second half of the track after the land bridge is overgrown with gorse and poorly marked! Go check out the fossils and then double back through the gorge.
