★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best fish and chips I have had! We had two scoops between two of us as we noticed a few comments on some reviews in local area as they didn't give much however, one scoop is easily enough for two people!
Chips were lovely and the fish tasted super fresh, Def recommend going here for your fish and chip fix!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to Kaikoura for a crayfishing but we missed it. So we look for a crayfish restaurant and we found this place. The owner was very friendly, she let us picked our own live crayfish and recommend some cooking style. The outdoor space is comfortable and the food were all delicious ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First night in Kaikoura, we really wanted to have koura (crayfish). We found this fish and chips shop on Google maps. The crayfish cooked perfectly, juicy and tasty ?. We also ordered some fish, mussel and scallops. We felt super warm in a cold night after this tasty dinner

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible fish n chips. Overpriced, measly portions and they got our order wrong. $35 was barely enough food for 2 people, anywhere else would get you enough for 4 for this amount. Maybe we got them on a bad night but would definitely not recommend this place.

Good value for money. Friendly service with a smile. You have the option of choosing the live crayfish that you want them to cook for You. Just add 15 more minutes for that awesome experience.
No frills takeaway oriented place. With tables outside if you care to sit and eat.
Quite a variety of other seafood options as well. Done fresh and done well. We tried the Crayfish with a garlic dressing and it was fabulous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The crayfish was amazing. We chose the biggest one on display and it was cooked to perfection. Succulent, tender, and so fresh. No fancy sauce needed. We also ordered oysters, blue cod and chips. Equally good. Quite popular with the locals as there were people lining up to order and some are waiting for their takeaway. A selection of drinks are available too, and was really impressed that they offer sugar free drinks. We don’t mind that food is served on paper plates. Crayfish on the roadside, kiwi-style. ? The staff are nice and friendly. Prices are reasonable . (perhaps the crayfish (80$) is on the pricey side but it was worth it).
