β β β β β Terrible service. Went in looking for Jo Malone candles and the salesperson rudely came over to ask if we having "fun playing," while sniffing the candles. Just because we looked young. She lost a sale and we ended up buying from Farmers instead.

β β β β β Have raised online compalint ages ago still no response from store. Have contacted customer care but still no one from store bothered to address the issue. Bought Narciso Rodriguez for her but I am pretty sure either it's fake or is expired product as I have been using same perfume since long time. Usually I buy it from farmers but this time bought from here. Usually fragrance is long lasting and others notice it too but the one bought from here doesn't leave any impact. Waste of money.

β β β β β A waste of time for me a clothes. No size options - Iβve been to outlet shops with a better selection! And no staff, tried to buy something and gave up after 5 minutes and 3 unattended counters.

β β β β β I hate the maze that is the new shopping complex. Trying to navigate to get to David Jones was so hard. The mall signage is awful, the shop is, for a luxury store, quite cluttered. The assistant was helpful, but I dont want to be upsold on cosmetics on a Thursday evening. I just want to get what I want and go. I may be back, sometime.

Came in to return a bag that had defects (handle was frayed). We had the receipt, gift receipt all intact and it had only been a couple days since we purchased it. We were happy to exchange the bag and pay the difference for a new item.
After a brief chat with one of the store assistants somehow the matter was escalated. The store manager of David Jones came out and insinuated that we had purposely caused the damage and that she couldn't accept an exchange as the item wasn't sellable. She was rude, unprofessional and persistent - never admitting that the onus could be on them. Luckily we were able to argue our point and left with store credit.
Moral of the story:
Stick to your guns whilst being respectful and don't be bullied by the likes of the store manager at David Jones Newmarket.

β β β β β Customer service was terrible. Went there after work yesterday to look for shoes for an event on Saturday and there were barely any shop assistants available. The one that was there didn't seem to even want to be there. Asking her if any other sizes for shoes were available and got told it's just what's on the shelf. Spend ages flagging her down and she disappears the moment your question is asked. Spent another 10 mins trying to flag her down as she's too busy chatting up another assistant 2 departments over. Asked her where certain styles were getting restocked or if I can get a certain style shipped from AU stores and she just says she doesn't know and no and gives me this look like "why would I know?". Was she even in charge of the shoe department or is that desk just completely unmanned?
The stock on the floor is pretty terrible, hardly any of the styles that could be seen on the australian store. When is shipping from Australia going to be available to New Zealand?

β β β β β Sunday 15th May 2022. Visited the menswear department early afternoon to purchase a jacket, shirt and trousers for a wedding.
Received excellent customer service from the 2 male staff members, they were very helpful, gave great advice and even knew (without measuring) I was a 34 waist even though I told them I was 32 ?.
