★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service a bit slower than usual but food was good. Looked like Dennis Wairau was short staffed but this is expected everywhere during the pandemic. Despite all these the service was still very reasonable. We did notice that water was not served until requested whereas this was the first thing brought to your table regardless of what was ordered. We had to request this separately , this was brought out instantly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not really what we expected. Place needs a good clean and the food was cold and not up to scratch. The kiddies bolognaise was really nice and tasty. And the garlic bread that you served with the pasta was yummy. Could do with some soft background music and maybe something to entertain the kids. The service was friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service but got really let down by the food. We got a surf and turf t-bone, buffalo wings, curly fries and kids nuggets.
The steak I think was old, had an old meat aroma and tangy taste to it. It was also overcooked for my medium rare, most likely because it was served on a sizzling hot plate. This is a really bad idea as it will continue to cook for ages after the meat is off the grill. Because it was the one, the meat right at the bone was just right at medium rare but the rest was overcooked.
The curly fries were really good.
The buffalo wings were dry and overcooked too. There wasn't much sauce to it.
The kids chicken nuggets were a bit bland.
The steak was $37 which is really expensive. It's a fancy restaurant price and def not fancy restaurant quality unfortunately.
Oh and there were potatoes squares on the hot plate, they were nice but got burnt on the sizzling plate as well.
I don't think the sizzling plate is suitable for these dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big ups to the server named Andre who made my friends and I feel very welcome. He was very knowledgeable displaying service with a smile. He went the extra mile to honor an unusual special request by my friend tubs, that was to put a shot of coffee into a Banana Thickshake, which admittedly... resulted in a delectable custom drink Consider putting it on the menu Denny's??
Deserts, the thickshakes, and curly fries were all great. The regular fries however (non curly fries were somewhat cold in the middle)
Will be back! ☺☺

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dont burn pancakes and hide it under 2 semi cooked ones. Im confused how you got it burnt and still under cooked and salty? The orange juice was so yucky and the only part of meal I enjoyed was the tartare sauce that came with the fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ have gotten dennys twice now. once was in the dead of night when they’re open 24 hours, and the second time was regular dinner time where there are many customers.
i have been disappointed with both visits. the food is very obviously the cheapest quality available, and im 99% sure that my food was cooked using a microwave. i can understand microwaved food at night when there are barely any customers, but to be served microwaved food at a bustling time is just so gross. the wedges/chips are dry and taste like cardboard, the cheese is hard and tastes like plastic, and the meat just tastes … off.
if i was served dennys and the frozen meals you get from the supermarket, i would not be able to tell the difference. the price dennys charges is not justifiable for the quality of their food and i would be scared to try their ‘proper’ dishes like ribs etc.
will not be voluntarily visiting again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can we take a moment to check out the huge size of the pork ribs for $35. I mean its huge compared to a few more places. They have the best food and the quantity is fare according to a person.
Dont forget to try their milkshakes and desserts.
Got a pretty basic ambience with ling tables and a poolside view. Staff is friendly and nice to communicate with.
