If you haven't got afterpay up and running put signs up!!! And provide a proper sized bag for soft furnishings that are not packaged. As for Andrew the store manager, you'd think he fancied himself as manager of some elite club, not the Mcdonalds of home goods stores. A puffed up arrogant snotty attitude as if he's doing us a favour by letting us shop there. Youre a shop assistant mate. Take some customer service courses.

Love Freedom furniture the best furniture shop in NZ. Good range of furniture and good quality too. Thanks Tom for your excellent service provide, Friendly and professional. Enjoying my new furniture now. Good high quality solid wood furniture at very reasonable price. Freedom Sylvia Park would be my first choice for future furniture shopping for sure. Go to the Sylvia park store if you're looking for curtains, 2 lovely ladies gave us lots of help and 1 of them is very knowledgeable with curtains and she also knows what sort of new stocks are coming in.

Customer service post sale was very poor gaving us just enough info so we would go away. We were about to cancel but Assistant Mgr Vik turned the experience around with decent customer service. We bought a couch in July 2021 - buying NZ made as this was 6-8 weeks delivery instead of 2022. When signing the paperwork the date was 8-10 weeks. Come delivery time we called for update to be told that due to COVID it would be the end of the following month. Followed up again to be told the same thing - when prompted further for a better explanation they said the boat for international shipments was held up - when I explained that the product was NZ made they didn't have an answer and said they'd call back - which they didn't. When I called back at the beginning of Dec - delivery was now going to be end of January, so I said we wanted to cancel the order. That is when Vik came onto the scene. He actually provided service, explaining exactly where the product was and what the steps were needed to get it to us. He phoned with the updates and emailed confirmation and made sure we had it delivered before Christmas. Thankyou Vik - he is an asset to the Sylvia park team and without him you would have lost the $7k+ sale.

Still waiting for a bed I bought in November. It got delayed three times coming to NZ - I understand how that happens in a pandemic, but it arrived in NZ on the 4th of April. The earliest delivery was the 19th… took the day off… nothing! Wasn’t on the schedule apparently, so they would add it to today’s. But didn’t. No explanation, no excuse, just no follow through. Now it’s possibly coming next week Wednesday. Will it? Who knows with this bunch of cowboys.

Order a bed, headboard and bases on 24 Jan 22. Bed and headboard was immediately available, well, so I was told, just that bases are to come from Australia. Initially this stores manager said it takes 1 week for the bases to arrive in NZ. But 4 months gone by, and after my numerous chase up, along with their false promises and lies. In late Feb they said the bases are sitting with the NZ Customs at the border, they then said that they are still in Australia back in mid March 22, 2 weeks ago they said they are now at the border with NZ Customs, and said will contact me in 10days. Well, 14 days gone and I still have not received a single call or update. They have no customer service or customer mind at heart. Very appalling servicing. If I can give negative stars I would! I think I'll go to commerce commission or similar to raise a complaint.

I ordered bed in October 2021, was told will be delivered in December I agreed and paid half, I called in December to know where is bed- staff informed sorry delayed due to fire in Malaysia warehouse. I thought fair enough-called again in January, told again- delayed due to same reason, no courtesy to inform customer- I called today after 4 months and spoke to manager- Manager said it is delayed due to COVID and there was never a fire….how can any company could be so irresponsible and has no manners to talk to customer and manager is rude who wasn’t listening and keep saying there were never fire. Please learn some manners and teach staff including manager try to do customer service and tell the truth. Highly dissatisfied
