★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thi6 morning I had the best hash brown in 2yrs crunchy on the outside soft in the middle not oily, and I got the Big Brekky, perfectly made, and assembled, tasted delicious... I honestly enjoyed the meal, I had my first MacD meal 2. 5yrs ago, yummy... in between I have had 6 or 7 meals of the 2yrs and all disappointing, soggy fatty.... So was happy with my brekky today, delicious coffee, usually Don't eat Maccers but well lockdown and a break from cooking

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dine-in was closed when we went, assuming due to COVID, which is out of their control so I understand. However, the drive thru is really badly organised.
The drive-thru layout is really outdated and not suited to the busy area. Due to the nature of the drive thru cutting through the middle of a busy carpark, polite drivers allow spacing for traffic to still flow through, but this allows for ignorant drivers to push in.
Efficient problem-solving would've helped too. When we finally ordered our food, the staff member told us to park on the side. They later came out to knock on our car door to tell us to pick up food from a random table nearby. They could have given better instructions for us to park and wait for our food by the table, saving them from coming out, walking all the way over to our car and telling us to walk all the way back to the table. This increased the time for every customer each time. Better instructions, better efficiency.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent customer service from the employees at the McDonald's in New Lynn. I had to get my car fixed and so I had wait all day until I got my car back. I couldn't go home because I live very far from my mechanic, so I decided to work and wait at McDonald's instead. The manager was sweet, I kept hearing her remind her staff to take their breaks. Then an Indian man (I think he is the big boss) offered me a free McCafe beverage because he noticed I had been waiting quite a while at McDonald's. I didn't accept the kind gesture, but it definitely made my day. ♥️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This has happened why to many times not to finally leave a review. Why is it so hard to check the orders I understand the time we are in but we are paying full price and paying $13 for this almighty burger and only getting half the ingredients is very frustrating and inconvenient to return to store as we were passing by! also had to ask for a missing burger I feel these workers know what they did and let customers leave smh! Thanks new Lynn McDonald’s but might not be returning any time soon! People check your orders before you drive off

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a crazy outfit, went to the counter to place my order waited a few minutes no one but me at the counter ,the staff were quite busy . A que of several people formed behind,after a while a lady served me and told me to get to the back the que and not push in which I had not done so I went to the end of the small que and when my turn was ready again a different staff member told me that they only acepting orders via the order machines never going back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went through the drive through this afternoon. The guy on the mic was pretty nice had no problem even though my order was ridiculously small. However, the young lady who served be at the window made me feel embarrassed for what I ordered. She didn't smile or acknowledge my existence and held my order barely out the window. I had to almost snitch it out of her hands. I was in no way rude, wore a mask, signed in at rhe drivethrough and was no trouble. I said thank you to her just for her to ignore me and slam the window shut.
I understand its a pressuring job, I've worked for the company before. But it is in no way acceptable for staff to take out any anger and frustration out on customers who already understand the pressures they're under. The food was fine and I appreciate the lad who took my order for being patient when I asked about prices. But this young woman must need more training on how to be more respectful. I won't retaliate because I know the pressures they may be under. But some people will

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a particular gentleman at the takeaway window that is extremely polite and takes his order to the tee. Very professional and always gets the order right, with great mannerism. Servers sometimes aren't too bothered, so customer service could improve here. As the food, never had any major issues other than some burgers being cold, but that's a given being fast-food.
