★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware of the kea birds. There are a few of them ~ they will chew your car antenna ~ haha. Don't feed them. Stay calm and .... enjoy the funny moments ~

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn't see any Blue Ducks ? or Kea here, but it's super easy to pull in off the highway and enjoy this bubbling mountain stream for a few minutes. The views here are beautiful, just like so many other spots along this road. The stream is right by the highway so don't expect a remote wilderness experience or a long walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No picnic tables but there are rocks to sit on near the creek. There was a friendly Kia that came up and hopped around whilst we were eating, it was quite photogenic
