Remember to roll up your Windows and close The Doors, or The mountain parrots will get inside your car.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rode my bicycle through that tunnel and down to the sound back in 2001. Epic ride, pitch black through the tunnel and had to use the sound of the water running down the walls to stay in the middle of the road! Hit some ridiculous speeds down the hill to Milford.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tunnel is one of the highlights of the road to Milford sound.
Upon reaching it, please look for the lights to be sure if you can travel as it is a one lane tunnel.
Once you are sure it’s safe, proceed. It’s almost 3-4 minutes drive to get through and you will be greeted with an absolutely epic view at the end.
Enjoy the ride.
