We parked next to the road and since it was snowing we played with snow for a while! The waterfall is beautiful like all waterfalls in New Zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At first we were wondering why suddenly there's a traffic jam at State Highway 94 when it was smooth traffic all the way. When reaching the site of this roadside waterfall, you can definitely see the reason: tour buses stopped on the narrow single-lane bridge itself to let it's passengers taking photos! And yes, Christie Falls was rushing during the rain and pretty, but no, this is Christie Falls, NOT Falls Creek Waterfall. The latter is about 1 hour hike from here. For those who are driving, there's a parking before the falls for you to pull over and enjoy the scenery without blocking the traffic.

A hike to the waterfall was not on the program today.
