★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely staff and shop! I went in to ask about my engagement ring stone moving slightly and the jeweller was very helpful. He didn't try to get me to spend any money or do anything unnessacary - instead offered great advice, confirmed he didn't think it was an issue yet and just to come back if it got any worse. I really liked his frank honesty, will definitely be back if/when needed.

This is Shashi's daughter.
First of all all you had to say was, "mate we don't buy the jewellery back" - that would have ended the matter right then and there and you would have not heard from us any further. However, you made up a little song and dance routine to check the weight of the ring and then used your loupe to look at the ring, only to tell us that the scrap value was $50-60.
Secondly, I'd like to point out that what you don't seem to understand from my dad's message is that when the initial purchase was being made you had not mentioned that the material used was only $50-60 and the remaining $1450 was for the "making charges" - which by any standards is extremely ridiculous!
Lastly, you have brought up the practices used in India to sell gold!! Not once during our entire interaction was India mentioned. We had not shared our experiences with you nor had you mentioned it then. But you have mentioned India in your reply. I can only assume that you have maybe spent several years in India to know about how gold jewellery operations run there?? Your comment in writing to bring up our race makes me shake my head in disbelief. Not only are we kiwis, I also happened to have spent a lot number of years in the UK, but I won't generalize any practices of any country, because I cannot stoop to your level.
To sum up my experience, not only am I sorry I got my ring made by you, I am also ashamed!

Told it was glass, went to a reputable manufacturing jeweller who confirmed it was definitely Amber.
Had a Necklace restrung and wasn’t happy with the workmanship.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter got her wedding band prepared by NZ Jewellers at the cost of c$1500. They never indicated the quantity/price of gold or making charges on the invoice .
Now when she went to sell it back to them, the owner of the stall, Mr Jason brusquely indicated that the ring was worth the 'scrap' value of $ 60.
It seems they charged nearly 95% of the cost towards making charges but never clarified it when selling the item.
To my mind they are not ethical at all and need being more upfront while selling.

Jason was super patient with us (I was very indecisive lol) and really helpful. We just received our rings and we are absolutely over the moon with how they look! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jason has been very helpful to my husband in the process of choosing a diamond ring. He was quick to response, giving practical advice based on his personal circumstances. The well designed diamond website allows you to browse a wide range of GIA certified diamonds with carat, colour and pricing options.
The only downside was that Jason sometimes forgets what he promises regarding the details of the final product which can cause disappointment and frustration. I had to remind him sometimes to make sure things are going okay.
Overall great store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered a custom made ring via the website. After selecting the ring design, I was able to select the stones and engraving easily online. The process was simple and Jason was prompt at replying to any questions I had. The process took 3 weeks from ordering to getting the ring on my wifes finger.
My wife now has a beautiful ring engraved with our childrens names and stones representative of each of them. We are very pleased with the result and will be going back to NZ Jewellers for the next Jewellery purchase.
