β β β β β We walked the Paparoa track in February (group of 6). The track and scenery was stunning. We used Punakaiki Beach Camp shuttle service to and from the track. We had fantastic service from Jed and the team, picking us up from Hokitika and returning us to Hokitika after we finished the track. We also stayed two nights at the beach camp and found the cabins to be comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend and use the services and facilities of the beach camp again.

β β β β β Staying at the Punakaiki Beach camp and using the shuttle from there made the Paparoa track ride easy to organise for our party. Good shuttle, driver and time keeping and good value. I recommend these guys.

β β β β β A great adventure and magical weather for it. Sadly I broke the rear mech off the bike after 5km so the rest involved plenty of walking but weather too nice to go down. Campsite is perfect too, quiet and plenty of wildlife and shuttle service is very efficient with friendly and helpful drivers. As good as the old ghost road and in some ways better for a day ride as itβs shorter and better balanced riding. Thoroughly recommended.

β β β β β A NEW great walk which is both challenging and exhilarating. I have had Parkinson's for 16 years and have other health problems that make outdoor pursuits a challenge. 66 years old and with no fitness training when we spotted a cancellation had opened up Midnight Tops hut, so had only 7 days to prepare.
Parked the Campervan up at Punakaiki Beach Camp, caught the shuttle with Jed to Blackball and started walking. The Lord blessed us all the way by only allowing the rain to fall at night while we were safely tucked up in the well appointed huts. Very tidy toilets.
An outstanding job by the track builders; the gradient is consistent and rarely over 1 in 10 and therefore manageable to keep a steady pace without going into cardiac overload. Because of our lack of fitness we took 4 days which was wise as we wouldn't have been able to do the 20 km from SmokeHo to Midnight Tops in one day.
The 19 km on the 3rd day was mostly downhill but still a tough day for me. Last day (16km ) was also tough but is the probably the most spectacular scenery. That is not to say the rest is not wonderful with some excellent views of the National Park to be savored.

β β β β β The track is superb and the huts are fantastic. We left our car securely parked at the Punakeiki Beach Campground and were transported to the start of the track by an informative and great driver in a timely manner for a reasonable cost. The hot shower at the camp at the end of the tramp was a nice bonus.

β β β β β Highly recommend the shuttle service. Reliable, super informative and good humoured way to travel to the start of the Paparoa track! We liked the jokes ? but not sure if the driver could hear us appreciating his humour behind our masks!

β β β β β Great location for start and finish of Paparoa track. Service at beach camp is lovely. Shuttle service, while a bit steep (but not any other options) was great. The shuttle service was a bit more like a guided tour so much appreciated ?? highly recommend this place for great service and value ??

β β β β β We used this service to take a group of us to the start of the Paparoa Track. We stayed overnight in Punakaiki and it was great to be able to walk to the van. Enjoyed the kΕrero along the way about the history and current events of the area, the economy and beautiful scenery. Highly recommend.
