★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unit was not serviced for the 5 days we were there. Trash bin cleared out only once. No bins outside to self dispose of trash
Unit smelled very badly of boiled cabbage whenever we used the shower or bathroom basin. I googled this and the suggestion was a biofilm issue due to the lack of cleaning out of the drain trap.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our stay here. Room was good. Sheets were clean. Friendly approachable owner. Even the cleaner was a delight.. And the pub a 50metres down the road was a bonus. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm heading to punakaiki.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it here. We got one of the newer units. Room. 8. Very well appointed. 2bedrooms. Close to the rocks and blow holes. Friendly host. Would exceptional if they had a washer/dryer in the room. Otherwise we were very happy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean and tidy lovely place to stay. Hop, skip and jump to the beach. Pancake rocks a must veiw just 700m up the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic location, and amazing sun sets, however considering the price the accomodation itself is rundown a little and could do with some investment, water pressure in showers is pathetic, and the floorboards were very loose. Allowing more than a couple of interesting bugs to share their stay with us. There isn't much competition there tho.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location and cooking facilities in the room. Bed was too soft for our liking and my poor husband slept on the floor the second night. Clean and tidy units!
Best to call and book as price I was quoted on the website was not honoured when I checked in, although I had an email confirmation on my phone of my booking. I had accidentally double booked and called to correct it. That experience was disappointing. Pet friendly and close to the beach which is a plus point!
