★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent service from optometrist however when it came to the choosing of spectacles frames I found that 2 of the 3 staff I dealt gave me service that consisted largely of repetition of funding restrictions, closed body language and abrupt statement of the rules. They showed no understanding of the importance of glasses in one's self image and had poor listening skills. The 3rd consultant I requested however focused on my requests and requirements and together we worked through the choices available to find a solution I am happy with. I am only sorry I had to be assertive over a sustained period in order to to get service that satisfied.

But 2nd pair of glasses that the tint film that was recommended to put on glasses has failed
Why am I being charged to removed the failed film?
Glasses approx 1.5 years old
Technician said she could not see the failure, under the lights. I see it everyday!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Back in December, went to this place and had the most upsetting experience. I am a fully grown disabled woman who is a wheelchair user and this one lady who works there was talking down to me like I was a small child. When it came time to choose my glasses, she inserted herself into that decision by mocking my choices and I was absolutely appalled. It was incredibly ableist. I also had an issue with what I actually needed them for. The person doing the test said close up, others when I collected them said distance. When I went back to clarify, got something different again. I cannot email them so consider this a formal complaint.
I truly hope other disabled people have no dealings with this older woman as she is something else!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My name is Ken Grace. I just called to report an issue with a recent glasses prescription and had a disappointing experience with the person I spoke to. She did not listen to what I said, and didn't answer my questions, despite repeated efforts on my part to get an answer. I don't see any contact details on the website for the practice manager/partner, hence this (temporary) review, which I'm hoping will prompt them to get in touch so I can receive professional service. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My last couple of visits to the above store have been a rare pleasure. Yesterday Hayley went above and beyond to help this OAP. When thanking her (more than once), Hayley said it was all about customer service and satisfaction. Well she achieved that in spades as did the previous expert who helped me with new specs 3 months back. Thank you again ladies. It was day making stuff on both occasions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From beginning to end, I felt welcomed and was treated with care and consideration from all the staff I dealt with, including my Optometrist, Lillian, and the lovely sales assistant who helped me pick out my new specs and sunglasses and closed the sale with me, to the friendly lady who fitted my glasses for me today, (sorry ladies, I have forgotten your names already ?!)
I am extremely happy with the entire process, thank you all for a wonderful stress free experience.
Needless to say I have been raving about you all to my friends and family.
See you again soon.
