★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just went into this store to find a new large suitcase for my upcoming work trip to Dunedin and the service was very embarrassing. I asked the girl the weight capacity of an item which she couldnt confirm or find anywhere so she pretended to know the answer instead.
Her colleague came back from a break with their shared drinks/snacks all over the desk and I asked if either of them knew the warranty period as my previous suitcase had just broken. They both shrugged their shoulders and started giggling acting like children - extremely unprofessional. I politely said to them it would be beneficial for them to each get some training about the products to help them better assist customers and they just stared and gave me a sh#tty look.
I knew they were about to have a b#tch about me as soon as I walked out of the store so I turned around and watched from outside the store and sure enough...thats exactly what they were doing.
I took my $150 to San Michelle bags just a few shops down and received friendly and knowledgeable service from a lovely lady who said she gets told about the shocking staff at Strandbags constantly.
Time to invest in hiring mature adults, not girls that act like 12yr old brats. Very embarrassing indeed
