★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the amenities are not bad, the unpowered sites are too close to the main entrance of the park and just separated by some bushes. Prepare to wake up early when traffic of early birds and deliveries to the close-by cafe starts.
Apart from that a nice stay for one night.

Second time feb and we had pre booked a particular site that we wanted and was assured we were all booked into that when we checked out last time. however it was not the site we got on arrival. Management became fairly unpleasant when we tried to insist that we had booked that particular site In Jan. You can hear Gun shots from local rifle range - really loud and very annoying and gun shots have been going for 3 days straight. Sadly a very different experience from our first visit two weeks ago.

Went to the DeBrett Hot Pools this morning which was great but nice to come back to a quieter place to unwind.
This is our fourth visit to Taupo Holiday Park, have just made friends with Charlie the camp dog, cant miss a chance to play with this little 'Fur Baby'.
Highly recommended
ps.Charlie likes a game of Chase the Ball but picking she is a more senior 'Fur Baby' then shes not too taxing on your energy on a hot Taupo day ?.
