While you choose which of our boats you want to charter, we only have one skipper. You will be fishing or cruising with Nick Reed. Nick has been fishing for trout since he was big enough to hold a rod and has been fishing the Taupo fishery since 1987. An experienced skipper, he offers professional, personal and friendly service on our well maintained and presented boats.
Whether you are cruising or trout fishing, a novice or an experienced angler, with Taupo Lake Adventures, you will have an experience we guarantee you will remember on Lake Taupo.

I'm too stoked, compared to Auckland prices this was a great price. All the gear was great and we caught plenty of trout and I'm no fisherman. Definitely will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We chartered TeArani II for 3 hrs and had a great time! Had a 'slow fishing day' but we are not fishing lucky people, so that's ok. We caught 2 trouts, one for dinner to cook at Waterside and another for smoked trout to be picked up the next day. What a special treat because no trouts are served at Taupo restaurants even though Lake Taupo is known for trout fishing. Nick shared with us lots of trout info and also local info too. We also had a chance to see the Maori rock carving. Interesting!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We paid for eight of us to go out on the eleven metre launch Bravado 3 with Lake Taupo Adventures on Sunday 27 December 2020 at 11:00 am.
In less than three hours we had caught eleven rainbow trout We lost one, released four and kept six good-sized fish
The skipper, Nick Reed, was unobtrusive but in the thick of the action. He was courteous, kind and easy to get on with.
We can thoroughly recommend Lake Taupo Adventures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went out on Bravado 3 on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my wife's parents 62nd wedding anniversary. What a great time we had. The grandparents enjoyed watching the family catch 8 beautiful and fat rainbow trout. Nick wad a great skipper, chatted to everyone on board, shared his experiences of fishing on the lake and took us to where the fish were. He even took us up to the Maori carvings for a close up view. Highly recommended. Thanks Nick.
