★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oooh la la. If the night is progressing past casual drinks and you are seeking the next level in Dunedin nightlife entertainment, then Vivace has your name written all over it. You can feel the good time vibes in the ground floor bar, where a drink purchase will secure you a space on the stage, and who knows if you might be discovered either via your showstopping mic delivery on stage, or the version that passersby will hear blasted out on the street! Alternatively you can book a group room by the hour, where you and your buddies can sing at the top of your lungs until your time runs out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a private lounge for an hour and that was just long enough for those who wanted to sing to do a couple of songs each. Staff very helpful. Equipment quite dated as was song list. Public bar was not very inviting so we skipped joining the regulars after that. Overall - a bit of a blast from the past and good for a laugh with friends as a one-off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the karaoke! Good music selection. The place itself is ok. Drinks are made using bottled fizz for mixers so wasn't as nice as it could be. We had a really fun night there though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ He kicked us out before we could even start because of his own stupid rules of, only one singer and no dancing... Even tho we all had the our vaccine pass. And then he kicked us for no reason. We had a booking and everything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Showed up slightly late for our booking (which I acknowledge). We were rudely told by the staff that the bar was closed. It appeared that something had happened to distress the staff but there was no excuse for their behaviour when we showed up. We weren’t given a reason and were forced to leave by an extremely rude staff member who treated us like we had done something wrong. If they had calmly explained why they couldn’t honour our booking we would have happily moved on. Instead, we were abused and physically removed from the premises. As long time (and I mean 10+ years) customers of vivace we were really taken aback by the rude and confronting behaviour of tonight.
