It took around 2 hrs to walk from the Tarawera Trail carpark.
I was offered a lift back across the lake from some locals, but it was too nice a day not to walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently damaged by storms, but is still an excellent spot to warm up. Water is consistently hot, about 37°C when I was there. DO NOT PUT YOUR HEAD UNDER WATER - this spot is particularly dangerous.
