★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had lunch at The Waterfront today and was extremely disappointed with the chowder. Less than a dessert spoon of little pink bits accompanied by some celery. A friend who had the chowder too had two muscles, but I had no such luck. The toast with it was the best thing about the meal. Not impressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a table of 9. Got garlic bread as an entree was more like bread with butter no garlic. One of our steaks more burnt than well done , other one very rear rather than medium had some rocket salad and few flavourless potatoes. Very disappointing for a $33 meal!
Waitress did not return after giving us our mains. Went and got our own menus for dessert but then was not spoken to again. So left with out having dessert. Will not be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a busy Friday night. Staff were great and food was pretty good. We had mussels, chips, lamb shank, salad and chicken tenders.
Tenders were a little over cooked but not bothered.
Would have been 5 stars if they didn’t stop Metallica half way through the song!

After a couple of early hiccups with unavailability of some items due to the long weekend our group of 6 settled in for a very relaxing lunch!
The food was great, the service was good...we were not rushed at all & ended up spending a couple of hours relaxing over good food, drink & conversation!
Right on the beach there are great views both indoor & outdoor dining.
Totally recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Busy week place and understaffed due to covid. Meals were lovely and great portions but a little cool when they got to us. I put this down to a large crowd if diners and rushed but very patient and calm staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a cool restaurant! Beautiful view of the beach and Kapiti Island, the service was great, friendly staff and a amazing chef, working very fast as I didn't have to wait too long.
I had the Prawn and Butternut Curry and for desert White Chocolate Panna Cotta - perfect! I enjoyed the food and definitely recommend it to anyone who's a bit of a foodie. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the fish n chips and the chowder with a side of the house garlic bread. The chowder was amazing, a great combination of flavours, this was the highlight of our meals. The garlic bread was a little disappointing for $10. Not enough garlic or butter and needed some salt too. The fish n chips were pretty good although the batter was too thick and hard.
