Just switched to this center as it is closer to my new house. After years of knee pain and multiple doctors just throwing pain meds at me Dr Zak sent me straight away for x-rays and I now have an actual diagnosis and am on a wait list for the hospital. I know she actually read my file too as she bought up things that happened in my teens. Very thorough and because of this I am very happy. Best move I ever made.

I have been with Westend for atleast 10 years now Dr Zak was amazing and I was very upset when he left, Dr Mandeep is also great and the staff on the front desk are awesome to deal with. I was upset that another doctor refused to look into ongoing pain I was having but Dr Mandeep was very quick to help me get it sorted so I will be seeing him from now on.

Great service I just listened a lady on voice mail. Saying she has not heard from me for a long time and it would be a great idea to have a heart check. I have not seen them for over 5 years and recently got a letter from them I have not sent it back yet. I had better make an appointment to see them . They will always be my doctor

This practice is a joke. A doctor that never turns up and one who doesn’t listen!! My partner had an appointment for 9.30am and was home by 9.40am. You don’t even get your 15 mins anymore. I wouldn’t recommend this practice to anyone.

My Partner has Terminal cancer and I rang to get a prescription for her pain relief but because she has a bill that she carnt pay till Wednesday the receptionist wouldn't give her a script. I asked her to speak to the Doctor about it so she doesn't have to suffer with the intense pain for 2days and the bloody women hung up on me. This Medical center is all about the money not the people and that receptionist should be sacked. Its bloody disgusting.

Kiaora Westend Medical Centre! It gives me no great pleasure to be writing an appalling & bad review based on my experience with a practitioner within this medical centre. Firstly, I would like to stress at the fact that during my first appointment while explaining to Dr S. Chand about my previous injury to the knee. I had requested a second opinion and was turned down due to my medical records being in Auckland. That's fine, but when came to booking an appointment on the 28th June '21 and attending the appointment, my medical files from Henderson Medical Centre, obviously this time the second opinion was totally different to what the previous doctor had said back up in Auckland. Furthermore, I am absolutely terrified and annoyed at the fact that I was told that "we're running out of time" despite me having a list going through certain details of my health and well-being. A doctor should NEVER have to tell a patient that were running out of time, especially if you are not 100% well and showing signs of coughing, sore throat, etc. I didn't even get to explain or have a proper check up from my previous diagnostic of having tonsillitis by this practitioner. Any way, I rated it 2 star as Shaw at the reception has been really helpful & pretty much a nice guy. Don't get me wrong, Dr Chand maybe a nice person outside of the medical centre but I am absolutely frustrated at the fact that this is the second time that this has happened to me at Westend Medical Centre. I believe it just goes to show it's all about the $. So I am seriously thinking of looking for a different practitioner within the same medical centre or a proper medical centre with doctors who doesn't mention things like were running out of time in terms of your own health. Thanks!

I don't think it's fair to have to wait nearly 3 hours after the phone consultation for a childs prescription to be sent out for a inhaler!!!! AND STILL WAITING! it is then rude of the receptionist to get upset at the fact I have to keep ringing to see where it is!!! I understand these times are difficult but 3 hour wait is ridiculous

Actually relieved that I’ve finally gotten around to registering with another GP. The only real advice and service I’ve had here is from the receptionist. I’ve managed to get an appointment once every solar eclipse as the doctor is always β€œaway sick” apparently. And when I have managed to get in front of one. It’s usually someone that needs help themselves with their listening, since I’m always having to repeat myself like a parrot. I highly recommend getting a more accurate diagnosis through google before coming here. And if you’re considering seeing someone here. Be prepared to re-book your appointment 36 times before you inevitably die.
