Absolutely horrible service. My husband is a diabetic and had to get a blood test done. He got a text to call the doctor to discuss the result, ten minutes before the center closes. My husband called immediately, but of course nobody answered the phone. So now he's spent the entire day stressing out of his mind and in tears for the last hour, because he's worried it's something serious and the text of course doesn't give you any sort of information about the issue. If you must send a text notification like that, might want to wait until the next day if you won't be answering the phone anymore, or better yet, if you have the time to send a text, just call the patient yourself.

Wesgate Medical has been our family doctors for over 20years. Have always had good experiences there. Dr Richard Selkon, Dr Emma Selkon, and Dr Ayad Razoki have been our go-to doctors and 100% trust in their advice etc. We have seen a few other Drs, and have always been happy with the service. Wait times can be long, but for us, we wait as long as we need to. After all, we're there because we need to see them... Nurses have been kind. Huge thanks to the Westagte Medical Center Team from me and mine. x

Thank you for taking me today. I am a teacher who was so sick. My normal practice couldn’t see me for 2 weeks. I like the enrolment and being able to wait in my car. The front staff and doctors were so professional. I also got a covid test which I can’t do at my doctors. Due to covid, doctors are overwhelmed and it’s hard to be seen at most GP’s. Thanks Dr Alice for your support today!

They lost my enrolment form and thought they could charge me casual prices for consultations, then, after I sent them my passport and had to get some blood work done at lab tests, I got charged $300 for the lab test because Westgate medical informed them that I was a non resident. I am a CITIZEN! not happy, and will be looking for another practice to go to.

Filled in the form and stated that I have chest pain and difficulty breathing. This was mentioned again to the nurse. However, I was left waiting in cubicle for over an hour. Doctors and nurses (including the one I saw initially) walked past me several times but ignored me as I was waiting. I let reception know that I had been waiting (the clinic was very quiet as it was the weekend) and they said they would remind the nurses/doctors but I did not get seen so I left and asked for a refund (weekend price was $120, would've expected better service for this price). I also agree with other reviews that the waiting system is confusing once sent to the nurses station.

I have been going to Westgate Medical Centre for many years now and have always recieved the best care. I had a phone consult today with Dr Kim about my 3 year old daughter and he was very helpful. The process of the phone consults, getting a script sent through promptly and having the option of using zoom worked so well. Thanks so much Westgate Medical Centre for all the care you are providing to everyone during this diffuclt time. 5 stars from me ?

I have been attending this clinic for past week for dressings & have twice witnessed some rude & disgusting behaviour by others in the waiting room! I have had excellent care provided by staff here & surely if it’s busy it means it’s a good place to be??? It is a sad day when as a patient you start to wonder if security is needed at the front door of your local Medical centre!! The staff who handled the guy yelling at reception did so in a caring & professional manner so thankyou !

I've been a registered patient for almost 5 years. The management of registered patients vs A&E drop ins is very poor. Each time I make an appointment I still end up waiting for almost an hour past the appt time. It's worse now with the covid screening at the entrance. My daughter had an appt to check her for asthma...an issue she has had years before covid and then we get told to wait in the car and a doctor will call us to let us know if it's ok to be seen. So in the queue we went with all the A&E drop ins ... and once again way past the appt we had booked. This medical centre shouldn't offer a GP service for registered patients as they are unable to balance the workload.
