On a cold snowy afternoon last week, we crashed our Subaru on Mt Ruapehu and the lovey crew at I-site made sure we were in good hands and even went out of their way to get chocolates and colouring for the kids. We had organised a ride back via one of the local shuttles they recommended so yea really knowledgeable and helpful staff. Thank you once again! Stay warm! -Frank & Stella

Great information, but very unfriendly and rude staff (one person) The place is great to get the latest weather forecast, to buy needed supplies or to see how you can hike on the alpine crossing. However, if you seek support and are maybe not a native English speaker, do yourself a favor and stay away from the rude lady with curly hair. She was very unfriendly and obviously annoyed by people asking questions „No, no, no“ and „You don’t listen“ seem to be her favorite words. This was actually the first time I met a rude person in New Zealand working in a client facing setting. However, her colleague was really nice and took the needed time to provide information in a marvelous way.
