★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent Museum, tiny but packed to the seams with distant and recent history. Young curator was very informative, willing to answer all questions. Five minutes drive out of Reefton, I'd recommend the visit to learn about the local area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little museum, packed full of local history. The curator there is a wealth oh knowledge and can answer any questions you have and loves sharing the history. There is a working model of the mine stamper which is neat to see if you have been exploring the local mine sites. $5 per adult

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's well worth a stop if you're in Reefton. The curator is a wealth of knowledge for all the items - as well as about the area in general - and does a great job communicating the anthropological importance of the collection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doesn’t look like much this museum but is super good. The guy that runs it is brilliant. Passionate and very bright. He’s a star (is his name Cory)?) The difference between this museum and others is it’s about people and he’s the link. Great stories and a history of resilience, physical toughness and fortitude. Give that guy that runs it a raise imo.
