As like the reviews before me a shocker in regards to service, communication, delivery time, But happy to over charge for the above. My box from Turkey finally arrived in Auckland after sitting in Australia for the past 3 weeks. It's now sitting in Auckland waiting to be uplifted my the NZ agent to deliver it to Tauranga. So far is been in Auckland 4 days. FEDEX has a new trick once you call them and you get though they take your details down Phone number email addy and say we will be in contact in 24 hour with an update of never happened. So if you can avoid using this company do so...

Seeing so many negative reviews I was worried too. But Fedex delivered my package right on the final day of estimated delivery time. I hope situation is improving and this has been happening with most of the other users. I appreciate how they have to deal with unprecedented times and fulfill people's expectation. Salut!

I cannot accurately describe how frustrated with how useless FedEx and their service is. After spending $110 USD on shipping for a package not that big had an original ETA of Nov 22 after leaving the US on Nov 12. Now Dec 20 the package was given to NZ couriers 7 days ago (now in the country for 21 days) who still don't know where it is I do not expect to receive before Christmas. If you continue to blame covid and not invest in processing technology unfortunately only things will get worse. Additionally I asked for the package to be flagged for pick up after many calls to your terrible call center to end up going to the sort facility to be told it went on a truck to NZ couriers the day before only makes things worse. I have had many packages sent through NZ post from overseas in the last 2 months and arriving via rural delivery generally within 2 weeks your service is not acceptable. Edit - another 3 weeks down the track still no parcel which has been with NZ couriers this whole time who managed to leave it out in the rain and get damaged to what extent I do not know so after 8.5 weeks still no package countless calls to both companies I can say with confidence I will endevour never to use either again how fricken useless can these 2 crowds be. Don't know when I will be receiving or aloud to go and pick it up... How about some professional courtesy and follow this one up getting pretty tired of the same excuses of having so many parcels.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced, for sure. Will never use FedEx again, seriously jeopardised a clients work with their delay in helping us and incompetency in doing so. I understand it's a hard time in the industry post covid - but waiting 5 weeks for an item to clear customs as no one would take responsibility over the job/communicate to myself what was happening was maddening.

You think FedEx will deliver your parcels fast and on time? HELL NO! My parcel have been delayed twice in a row. I can see my parcel been all over the world. But not in front of my doorstep. Very bad experience with the service. And DHL is even delivery faster than FedEx, as well as they are slightly cheaper as well.

From a business perspective : I would give them zero rating if I could. Issues I have experienced with FedEx NZ for the last 2 years - 1. Overpromised delivery dates, Im guessing this is there standard template across there shipping portal, it takes about 2-3x times longer then states. They say 7 days, expect min 14 days for them to turnaround the freight. 2. Delays - Always delays in Singapore and Sydney. They can't handle the volume of freight. More than likely because they offer the cheapest rates in the industry for international courier. 3. Customer Service is non existent. Phone support is diverted to the Phillipines and they speak like robots and haven't got a clue whats going on. For example - If your package is at the Auckland depot and you ring the 0800 number for an update, the operator will say they need to contact the NZ team and will respond in 24 hours which they never do. They have maybe less than 5 people in there CS team in NZ which only communicate via email. They tend to lose the customs invoices for clearance a-lot of the time also, so they ask for a copy which delays delivery. 4. Damaged shipments - Water and general damaged shipments are quite common with FedEx, this most likely happens in Singapore or Sydney as they dont have enough space to store the packages. Be worried if you see "Operational Delay" on your tracking information. This means your packages are with FedEx incapable hands. FedEx will never admit or notify you if your packages are damaged, they simply repack it and deliver. When you notify FedEx of the damages, they don't even apologise or acknowledge for their mistakes. They will send you a claim form which they will never respond to. They make it hard as possible to claim anything. Make sure you have your own marine insurance. FedEx were ok before Covid, they could turnaround freight in 5-6 days flat from Europe. Now they cant even deliver overnight from Sydney. Covid has bummed them well. They boast about how they have their own network and planes. All this infrastructure and they still cant deliver Diddy Squat. In conclusion : I would avoid using FedEx to import anything into NZ, they are actually ok at the Exports side of things for now. They operate like a bunch of brain dead monkeys handling freight. No care, no responsibility. Save yourself the misery and use DHL or UPS. My ranking of International Couriers in NZ 1. DHL - You cant beat there service and turnaround times in our current climate, you get what you pay for ! They can turnaround freight from Europe in 6-8 days. Asia / USA - 2-5 days, Australia - Overnight ! 2. UPS - UPS use to be what FedEx is now. They have vastly improved there network and service in NZ with Aramex taking over local deliveries. Customer service is still non existent in NZ. 3. Freight Broker - Use a freight broker for Consol airfreight if needed as a last resort. FedEx and TNT would be the worst rated international courier in NZ

After reading all the recent negative reviews, I felt it’s only fair to provide mine. I did not have such a bad experience dealing with FedEx NZ.I had a package that was sent from the UK, arrived in a reasonable time. Was at east tamaki centre for 5 days, delivery was delayed only few days but it got here. I called the call centre four times, they were not great but one person escalated my issue and it helped. So my experience isn’t as bad as other so would give them a 3.5 rating

If I have option I will give them 0 or even negative rating. I called their 0800 number went to Philippines or Malaysia, they advised that they will send a message to local team to retrieve my 2X parcels and intercept the delivery to my home address which is 7 days after cleared the package from customs and held at their local warehouse in East Tamaki. I went after I had a chat with Offshore Call Centre guys, drive for 35 KMs one way to retrieve the item, no surprise but my parcel was not off loaded from the container. The receptionist took both my tracking number and assured me that she will keep the packages ready for me and call me next day , obviously no called received but I have set up tracking updates from them that says the item in ready to collect. Went 35 KMs again to pick up the item and they only retrieve one item and said the second parcel is in their facility but they can't able to locate it, she pass the job to someone to look for my package and made me wait in the car for almost hour and came back to me saying ," The guys sneek out" and didn't even look for my package so now the next shift that starts at 1.30 will look for that second package. I asked if you have any duty manager or shift manager who I can talk but she said they all are in the meeting since morning and not sure when they come out of meeting. So the facility left on its own since morning without any manager or leader?? Basically none of them want to go out of their way to handle such tricky situation and try their best to send you away with any random reason. We paid for international priority and yet they treat the courier as economy courier.
