★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here is nearby the town of Franz Joseph Glacier so that it is perfect to access the downtown in 5 minutes. I already knew that the accommodations near the town were so expensive to stay so Glacier View Motel was the best choice if you want to consider whole budgets of your travel.
But I evaluated this motel is cozy but uncomfortable to stay with family members. Beds were too soft to lay off my body comfortably and some facilities were dirty to use for making foods. If I went to here with my friends, I may be acceptable with the price but it was not good to stay with my family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We received a warm welcome with advice on what to do and see during our stay. The accommodation itself was spacious and in good condition. So far so good. Unfortunately there were a few things I found off-putting. When we arrived it turned out that although the apartment contained a functioning kitchen(and was advertised as self-catering), cooking, especially of Asian food, is strongly discouraged. I also found the mattresses to be extremely soft and the TV controls appeared to be locked with no way to change channel or volume.

Very friendly and efficient front desk lady who checked us in and booked us on a helicopter flight for the following day.
The rooms are comfortable, and had everything we needed.
Fly-screens on the windows would be good to stop the bugs coming in at night.
A little expensive for what it is, but as it was peak season it was an average price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jim at reception could not have been more helpful re changing our booking details. The motel is quiet, slightly out of town, comfortable, but most importantly for us, included an adequate kitchen so we could avoid the highly infllated restaurant prices of this tourist town. Enjoyed our stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When first approached the Motel it looked liked it was going to be quite dated but to my surprise was lovely inside. It had what we needed and a nice view of the Glacier from the unit. Would happily stay there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room was clean enough but that’s the only positive. The toilet was broken and wouldn’t flush properly, the shower gel and hand soap was watered down, no milk for a brew and as it was in New Zealand you’d expect the receptionist to be able to speak at least half a word of English. There will be better places to stay I’m sure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Adequate unit recently renovated bathroom and new carpet. Good for price but not serviced daily. Staff friendly and as helpful as they could be. Milk in room well out of date. Dish liquid, hand soap and body wash so diluted it hard to use. False economy

Stains on sheets but rest of the room was clean.
