What to do if you test positive for COVID


If you test positive for COVID or are living with someone who tests positive don't worry - we are here to look after you, to support you and provide clinical care for you.

What will this look like:

1. You will be contacted by Public Health to let
you know that you have tested positive and you
will be given instructions regarding how and
where to isolate and for how long.
2. Your GP will also contact you to talk through
how you are feeling and to discuss a clinical
care plan - they will also arrange for a care
pack to be sent to you so you can monitor your
symptoms.
3. You will be contacted on a regular basis by
your GP (the frequency will depend on your
symptoms) - please make sure you have a phone
available for these calls.
4. We will provide you with contact details for
both practice hours and after hours support so
that you can get in touch with someone if you
have any concerns.

They are kind of rude. I have an ear problem . Wanted to be referred to an ear doctor but was told I have to be taking antihistamines. And also flixanise. I know when I need to be referred to a ear doctor which is going to cost a lot privately and I am not currently working due to an in balance where I am mostly dizzy. I have been referred to a neurologist and they know this. When a patient has needs i think doctors and nurses need to take their patients seriously rather than sweeping it underneath the carpet. I'm sorry but nobody knows your own body than yourself. So when a patients asks and tells a doctor they need to be referred to an ear doctor it's usually because us patients know. Especially when you have a balance problem. It's usually an inner ear problem.

Dissapointed with Doctor Carmichael. Very Poor Service. My wife went to him, he was going to call us back after a test, never did. Rang the nursing team several times over several days, they said hed call back, still hasnt. You are doctors, this is peoples health on the line, and you dont care.

Recently received my covid 19 jabs at Glenview Medical along with my two teenage kids. Super friendly and super professional. Definitely reassuring to know the medical staff in NZ are doing a fantastic job.

Recently I’ve been seeing Dr Amber, she is amazing! She’s never in a rush, very informative, and really cares about her patients ☺️ She’s also been very helpful during level 3 and calling instead of having to come into the clinic. The reason I gave 4 stars is when I first signed up the older receptionist was rude. However there’s another receptionist middle aged and blonde who is lovely!!!!

Had so many issues with doctors here especially dr meena ,the only good doctor here is amber. reception charged me twice saying that I hadn’t paid for my last appointment when in fact I did and have proof of so. So useless

Asked for repeat prescription Thursday was assured I could pick up from pharmacy after 4pm Monday. Rang when it wasn,t there and was told it wasn,t done yet. Prescription was for Autistic Adhd child who can,t cope with change or routines so thanks for bloody nothing

Very disappointed, register here for over 2 years and gave lot of chances to doctor here. No improvement, Dr Meena Shrivastva disappointed us. No follow up calls, no care and no intime decisions, feels like she dosen't care for her patients. Pain to write this review but unfortunately its true. Only writing to avoid others disappointment and for other to be safe.

Love the docters and nurses can not complain in regards to them they are amazing. Now the receptionists on the other hand. Quite frankly I've had a couple experiences where they have been nothing but rude. Not all just the odd couple. If it's not giving the wrong information for apps it's the rude attitude I get when calling to follow up. Or how rudly patients get treated in the waiting room. Maybe a training on how to work with or talk to people could help a couple of the older girls. Said respectfully. Also just wanting to add that when calling to book appointments on behalf on my almost 6 month old for his 5 months ims I understand he's almost 6 months but he's been sick for what feels like going on 3 weeks. To feel judge for doing what's best for my child is absolutely ridiculous. You receptionists need to work on your phone manner and talking negatively about patients to other patients is just crazy behaviour and it speaks volumes on the kind of people they are. If this wasn't the closest practice to my house I for sure would leave. Make the chances needed.
