Really nice, clean hostel.
Hot showers perfect.
Bathrooms clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great facility for the price. We booked a basic twin and got a basic twin - 2 single beds in a room. The room was large, and warm, the beds warm and comfortable. The shared kitchen, dining, and lounge was a great size and clean and well stocked with great equipment. The spa was a great added bonus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recommend as it is great value. We stayed in deluxe bedroom. Had our own ensuite and access to a small lounge/kitchen shared with two other rooms. Room was double glazed and kept warm. Great being so close to lake Matheson so can easily return at different times of day if wind is affecting the reflections.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hosts are amazing beautiful people who are well accommodating and great to chat with. The baby floppy-eared bunnies are a must-see attraction, Come see them quick!
Facilities are clean and well managed with everything you will need.
I will 100% be returning to Ivory Towers next time I am through Fox.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only stayed the night as was passing through but the owner made me feel very welcome and was happy to give me information about the town and where to go. There was also some bunnies in the garden which was a lovely surprise to end my day. Hope more people come and stay soon ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely host. Cute bunnies. Really great value rooms with linen included. Spa pool is so fantastic. Really cool to have this at a backpackers. It’s 39 degrees and set next to a fern bush with a view of the nights sky. Awesome to relax in after a day hiking or on Fox Glacier like I did.
Only negative is that the WiFi speed is only around 10Mbps which is not enough for movie steaming sadly.
Don’t bother looking elsewhere - this is 10 times better than a boring motel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool layout of the rooms, nice big communal kitchen, and a great spa out the back! I stayed here during some pretty rough weather early February and the lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful, giving me advice on when to leave so I wouldn’t be stuck in any flooding. The local siren gave me a hell of a fright when it went off at about 2 am though ? but definitely recommend this place, wish I could have stayed longer but alas west coast weather can be unforgiving
