★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little waterfall on the way up the mountain. Good diversion off season or on a bad snow day. Few tracks down to the stream and beautiful scenery. Some parts are fairly steep so take care with little kids and oldies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful drive up the mountain, with grand views of Ruapehu on the way up. Only two or three minutes from the road to the spectacular (but fairly small) viewing point for that photo.

I've heard rumours of a small gangly creature that fishes in this river and talks to itself. Please keep safe and remember to stay aware in the water, he bites! You've been warned!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome waterfall only a 5 minute walk away!! I don’t know if it would look as cool in summer but definitely check it out if you are ever headed up Mount Ruapehu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great walk to the falls - we did the longer one first through the bush, well worth the trek and plenty to see along the route. We then drove further up the road and did the really short version to see the top of the falls and the pool

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful waterfall at the mid-level towards Turoa Skifield from Ohakune. Be ware of the slippery walkway due to ice/snow. The waterflow is not volumetric as large part of it is still frozen as ice however the hanging of that over the Fall is fairly photogenic
