★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited family staying at the lodge and found it to be up market and extremely comfortable and private. A large week kept garden leads to the rivers edge, providing access for kayaks and other water sports.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large, clean house with well equipped kitchen. Highlight is the outdoor areas, with well maintained and huge lawns, a lagoon, kids swings and slide and a boat dock. WiFi is patchy but available. Helpful and friendly owners live next door. Good location between Hararu Falls and Paihia town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my best friend Howie stayed 2 nights, beautiful property, the outside lounge area with BBQ.. Wow,Carl and his wife are good hosts, and cooked us a feed of whitebait.. Yum, thank you Carl and silver. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another annual gathering that created some great memories. 13 of us 65-78 year olds had an awesome time at this beautiful venue. The outdoor area is awesome and weather played the game. Any issues we had were addressed by Karl as soon as we communicated with him. Absolutely fabulous place for people with kids. Kitchen well equipped, perhaps a few more towels for oldies like us. We wish you well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We spent 10 days at the lodge and it was a magic experience. The grounds are beautiful, the house (especially the kitchen) is well equipped, Karl was thoughtful and accomodating and the proximity to Paihia meant there was plenty to do for entertainment. Would definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place to stay with my family, gorgeous views across the Waitangi river. The Lodge was comfortable and clean with all the amenities. Host Karl was lovely and welcoming. We were given information about the surrounding areas and best places to visit and eat out if you were to leave the lodge.
Loved using the Kayaks to go up the river and explore, great waterfalls !!!
Will definitely return if ever in NZ again :)
