★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a little underwhelmed to be honest. It really didnt have a good vibe at all, unfriendly staff on the particular day I visited, didnt even get a hello, just a stare, Im obviously not uber hipster enough....or at least that is the feeling I got. I had brought my daughter in with me, who'd had a big sort out of her wardrobe, hoping to earn a few dollars for the school holidays. She brought in a box full of lovely, clean, fashionable and hardly worn clothes, some still with the shop tags on them. We were greeted at the counter with a sign saying that they generally dont accept these labels...(and there was a very extensive list of clothing labels)from many major retail stores, so we had to turn around and take our perfectly good clothing home again. It was very disappointing. Their mission statement of recycling to save the landfills seems not all together accurate. Its seems it is only very high end clothing and not your everyday mainstream stuff, which cuts a whole lot of people out of that market. I guess I will take my clothing to the Sallies, Red Cross or the SPCA shop at least they will go to a good cause...
Thanks for your offer to donate our clothing to charity, but I prefer to do this myself to charities of my choice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love recycle boutique my only downside is they don't have a huge range for plus size (which I get it not really their problem! But it would be nice to have a second hand store like that that do have a bigger selection) but I always seem to get awesome shoes from there! Staff have always been awesome.
*update* I absolutely agree with the comment that they only have stock from what people bring in! still think the store is awesome!*

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came in on Thursday with a friend of mine and had a pretty upsetting experience. I am disabled use a walking stick as a mobility aid. Your store only has one disabled changing room. I stood waiting to use it for about 10 to 15 minutes as one of the staff went in and out of it trying on pieces and showing her coworkers, in this time she saw me waiting and avoided eye contact and 2 other changing rooms became available. Due to my disability, I cannot use the small changing rooms. When she finally came out and I could change I saw that there was no chair available to me. If I had been visiting without a friend, I would not have been able to try on any pieces. I felt so unwelcome and blatantly disrespected that I left without purchasing any of the items I had picked up and loved.
As I left, my friend went back in and told the staff member that held us up that she had made a mistake. My friend said that she took no responsibility and deflected the blame. I’m very disappointed and upset by this experience and have let my other friends with disabilities know how they can expect to be treated when visiting this store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited today around 4pm I was the only customer in the store and wasn’t greeted by the girls working behind the counter, they hardly even looked my way - I grabbed two items to try on and walked past the girls having a personal conversation loudly on the floor to the changing rooms tried on and put them back after. Not one word was spoken to me the whole time. It was a terrible experience and I felt so uncomfortable. I have nothing against having chats with your workmates but it shouldn’t mean you don’t even acknowledge your customers. Was poor customer service and from reading previous reviews it seems to be common in this store and maybe something the management should address. Couldn’t find any complaints process on their website either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The whole idea of the shop and clothes inside are amazing, and customer service was friendly each time I went.
The reason for one star is becasue of the processing and selling part. It was really annoying and upsetting.
I bought few items last time, and the processing of my clothes were just unreasonable. They marked your real cloth as fake for no reason. They also rejected a well maintained vintage cloth that I bought from Japan, yet I saw the excat same brand/style in store. Ironically, another small brand cloth I bought was selling higher than my purchase price.
It feels like that they are just choosing based on the appearance/personal style of the seller when you are here to drop off, and not focusing on the item itself. I chose to donate for any item that they don't accpect. However, it makes you feel sad to see the item you valued so much in the past being treated like this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everyone who works there is super lovely and helpful but not really the sort of opshop that caters to plus size folk like myself. Only goes up to XL, which on the racks looked to be size 14-16. Not 100% sure but there weren’t many options at all in that size range. I saw one pair of jeans for size 18.
I bought in a bunch of pretty new plus size clothes and because of labels and condition none were accepted, however they did take half when I went in and then I was told the next day that none were accepted which is fine. Just a little annoying and I probably wouldn’t try again.
