★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a perfect track which well combined of plain, ice river, moutain roads(which is covered by woods) in the way and a big glacier at the upper lookout！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best part of the track is the “unofficial” end where only few people go. It can be very slippery when wet but it’s worth getting there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Start of the Rob Roy Glacier track. Wonderful hike. The track to the Rob Roy upper lookout took about 1 hour 45 minutes with stops for photos. The return took about 1 hour 30 minutes over wet ground. The track is a good mix of flat walking and elevation changes and not too strenuous. It is well maintained with lots of small rock and gravel for traction. It was a great hike in a partly sunny and slightly rainy (drizzle) day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Must do. The upper lookout is ten times better than the lower lookout. Easy but a sustained up hill walk for around 4kms. Total walk around 11km. Views stunning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A quick diversion for us on the way back from Aspiring Hut. Definitely worth the extra 2 hours it added with a wonderful view of the glaciers. A very popular track judging from the number of people we passed along the way.
