We went for dinner and I have to say that the only star I took of my rating was because we ordered a pretty basic cocktail and it was terrible (I'm a certified bartender) and the food... Please whatever you do don't have the venison, it was not good when you are paying the price... it was too fatty, too much gelly texture (I'm not a food expert but I literally had to take pieces of far out of my mouth). The dissert was delicious tho.
I might have something to say about the host but I think he just was a bit nervous that day.

It's as if, as you drive through the entrance, you are assigned an Angel. The accommodation and the food are equally matched with the idlylic setting.
I so want to be there again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Huka Lodge with Baytours, for a delicious 3 course lunch. My dietary requirements were very well catered for. And we had a delightful host provide a tour afterwards. A very peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dreamy place to visit. If not staying you can just come for dinner. If you have deep pockets. Open for non residents dining Sunday through Thursday inclusive they only offer outsiders 5 course tasting menu. Plus canapes and a welcome drink $225 per person.. It was truly a night of awe and wonder.
..we were treated like royalty and nothing was too much trouble..
