β β β β β The very elderly lady owner gets very confused about the prices quoted and facilities she has told you you can and cant use so be very sure what you are wanting ie,power site/no power and make it very clear to her which I thought I had until I went to pay. Very clean facilities but a very run down camp now which is a real shame as it has the best views.

β β β β β When I was driving on the highway back to Christchurch, I suddenly missed the holiday park, so simple, natural, like a paradise. We look forward to return sometime in the future .

β β β β β Absolutely a classic (and a few classic cars here and there) place to stay (cabins or park up or tent). Outstanding views. 30 min walk to Doubtful Sounds day trip. Unbelievable.

β β β β β we booked in a cabin called Motel βHβ because it was New Yearβs Eve and we wanted somewhere special to stay, it has awesome views of the lake and looked like a special Spot to take in the New Year.
We received a confirmation email a month prior that we had this room secured.
On the day of arrival we were given a different room, they had given our room away to someone else. They mucked up the booking which is No surprise looking at how they do it using a paper book
There was no offer of a discount price or any sort of compensation- it was pretty disappointing to say the least. The rates on the website donβt match either.
We wonβt be back until itβs under new management. Very disappointed.
Other than that. Room was dated but fine.

β β β β β LOVED IT. The cutest/quirkiest retro campsite iβve ever been to with soectacular views of the lake. The owner was absolutely lovely and caring. Loved the character of the place and despite the age it was immaculate. Only stayed one night powered site but wish i had time for more. Absolutely recommend!!!!
