β β β β β This iconic Queenstown hotel and spa is located at Arthur's point about 10 minutes drive. There are garden and river view rooms. The dining area has spectacular views of the shotover river where you can watch the jet boat.
A nice group of people working here to make for an enjoyable stay

β β β β β Reviewing based entirely off of my attempt to book here, not the experience itself.
First off, you can't book packages online. Not a big deal, but in hindsight this should have been a sign of this place's level of organization.
I called the hotel repeatedly on Tuesday, trying to catch someone in the office. No luck. But hey, things are probably busy, and midweek most hotels aren't fully staffed. No worries.
On Wednesday I get through, but that staff member can't book package deals. I'll have to call back at 2 tomorrow so I can speak to the only person capable of making these bookings.
On Thursday I get through to the front desk at 2:05, but the person now won't be available until 2:30. I finally get through to him at 3:15 and start to make a booking, when he cuts me of mid-sentence to say that there's a line of guests piling up and he'll have to call me back to finish. By this time we've arranged the room, the hot tub, and the dinner reservations - everything but the spa, which is only offering 20 minute massages on my date.
At 6:45 I call them again. Same guy picks up, claims to have no memory of our phone conversation, but suggests the same package I had nearly finished booking earlier. Right. Only now the times I picked out earlier have been taken by other people who have called in subsequently.
Can't speak to the quality of the rooms or spa, but the quality of the service is hands down the worst I've ever experienced.

β β β β β Beautiful little place. Loved the view from the restaurant when I visited during the day and can imagne the sunset from the restaurant.
I have not stayed there or had a meal yet but definitely will experience that soon. Became bucket list things.
The location is little drive from main town centre on one of the pretty places in Queenstown ( Arthurs Point)

β β β β β Dated rooms. Plus our room was full of bugs as someone must have left a door open the night before we got there. Nice and friendly housekeeper came in to spray the room but she need to use A LOT of fly spray. No body wash in the shower.
The indoor pool area is nice with spa, sauna, steam room and changing rooms but it needs to be regularly mopped as it is slippery. Restaurant has a lovely view.

The restaurant was really nice. Would really recommend their "on the grill" menu. Meat was perfectly cooked and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant was empty which was also nice to eat in the quiet. Staff were very friendly.
They have a steam and a normal sauna, and a small pool, all in quite a fancy looking marbled place. Looks very nice, the view opens up at the shotover river, good place to chill.

β β β β β Even though we weren't staying at the hotel, we went to the restaurant for dinner. When we arrived, we received excellent service, not to mention that the restaurant is very cozy, reserved and elegant.
We ordered a starter, main course and dessert. everything was perfect! Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had!
I would definitely recommend the rest and will be back soon!

β β β β β The most beautiful place to stay! So stunning, away from town so thatβs it peaceful and quiet, but close enough to drive whenever you need. Amazing spa facilities, beautiful pool, spa, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms and great gym. Rooms are clean and lovely with picturesque views of the shot over river and mountains. In house restaurant is a highlight with the most amazing views and great food. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

β β β β β My partner and I stayed at Nugget Point Resort for 3 nights in a river view room.
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay, mostly because the service we received from the staff was excellent!
But that wasn't the only thing to love about staying here. The food was amazing, the views.... Spectacular! I highly recommend getting a river view room as the views on that side far exceed the garden view rooms. The pool and spa area were beautifully presented and it was a lovely place to relax and unwind.
The resort is located a short 8 minute drive from Queenstown Central. There is public transport available from Queenstown and you can also catch an uber for a fairly minimal fee.
I would highly recommend booking well in advance if you are wanting a spa treatment or use of the private, outdoor spa baths, as they are short staffed, like everywhere in Queenstown at the moment it seems. Despite this, as I said, the service was fantastic. We will definitely be returning.
